Content Management Solution
Our content system is based on Active Server Pages using a database to store all the details of the website and Cascading Style Sheets to control the design elements of the website.
The system was built with flexibility and simplicity in mind, with control of all website elements being accessible via a simple to use web-based interface that can be accessed via any computer with an internet connection.
Design Process
- The first stage was to create a new style sheet that would control all the design elements of the website, such as the layout, colours, image positioning, menu's and page content.
- The second stage was to take the text and images from the original static website and create new pages via the Content Management System.
- The third stage involved creating the Menu system for the website using the content system.
In order to fully benefit from all the features available in our content system, such as image uploading and resizing, the website was hosted on a dedicated server.
The website currently uses a Microsoft Access Database but could easily be upgraded to an industry standard Microsoft SQL Server if required.
